Although we treat all forms of cardiac arrhythmia, atrial fibrillation is the most common and confusing for patients, so here is some more information:
Patients with a bradycardia (slow heart rate) or conduction system disease, can now be paced more effectively with a procedure referred to as His Bundle Pacing (HBP). The conduction system is stimulated directly, allowing both ventricles to contract simultaneously.
It is of great importance to note that - according to the 2019 Guidelines for the Management of SVT's – catheter ablation is considered as a first line of treatment.
